No we are conveniently located just outside the Congestion Zone; two minutes walk from Vauxhall underground & overhead train stations, Vauxhall Cross bus station is also just around the corner.

Do I have to get my car repaired by my insurance companies ‘recommended repairer?’

No, Professional Auto Centre is an insurance approved repairer for all major insurance companies. Many insurance companies will try to direct your claim to one of their own repairers, regardless of their expertise. It is your right to have your vehicle repaired at a body shop of your choice.

How frequently should I service my car?

Vehicles are serviced at different mileage and usage intervals.
Your car should be serviced at least once a year or every 10,000 miles.

Do I have to take my new car to the main dealer for servicing to protect my warranty?

No, all servicing ties have been removed from new car warranties.
Professional Auto Centre can offer the same car servicing as the main dealer.

How often should I replace my cam/timing belt?

Every vehicle is different. As a guide you should consider changing your belt every 50,000 miles. Some manufacturers such as VW suggest changing your timing belt every four years irrespective of mileage covered.

Why is my air conditioning not cold any more?

The refrigerant gas that is used to operate the system depletes over time. On average most vehicles lose up to 15% per annum, the problem can be caused when the system is not used during the winter months allowing the small ‘O’ rings to dry out resulting in a gradual deterioration in system performance.

Why does my air conditioning smell odd?

As a system becomes older or used infrequently the air con system can develop bacteria, micro organisms and even mould or fungi growing in the system evaporator.
This can lead to some very unpleasant odours inside the car. Some even claim it result in headaches and flu like symptoms sometimes referred to as sick car syndrome.
